Greetings and thank you for your support of the Seattle Viola Society!

The SVS aims to improve further awareness of the viola, in particular with regards to teaching at every level and performance within the community.

Washington State has many talented violists representing every aspect of the profession. Violists working in symphony orchestras, professional and semi professional; universities, schools of music & colleges; private teachers, high school and elementary teachers, students of every age, youth orchestras and summer festivals. There is a wealth of talent and the idea of uniting as many violists as we can, to share ideas and work together in ways we had not previously envisioned, seems exciting and enticing.

If you have any suggestions or news about viola-related activities, please contact us at In the meantime, await more information about our activities; we aim to develop further this group of friends dedicated to the promotion of the viola and its literature through lectures, master-classes, recitals and play-ins.

Founding members Helen Callus, Brian Lew and LeeAnn Morgan; missing Eileen Krohn.
