Day 1  Tuesday, June 10

Drive from Alghero airport to hotel (20 min.)
Hotel check in. Introductions. Dinner in our hotel. Walk along coast to old city center Hotel Calabona.

Day 2  Wednesday, June 11
After breakfast at the hotel we'll shop for our picnic lunches and drive to Lazzatetto Beach for our first paddle. We'll head to Punta Negra and have time to swim and relax. Barbecue or picnic on the beach for lunch. We'll paddle back to Lazzaretto. Dinner at a local restaurant where we'll enjoy local specialties.   Hotel Calabona.

Day 3  Thursday, June 12
We drive to Lazzaretto beach and then paddle to Punta Giglio and back. We explore coastal cliffs, caves and bays and if the conditions are right, do a bit of snorkeling.  Picnic or café lunch. After returning to the hotel we'll head out to the world famous Sella&Mosca vineyards for a tour, and then to nearby Necropoli Anghelu Ruju (a warren of ancient underground tombs)  Both stops are on the way to our dinner at a local farm featuring Sardinian specialties. Hotel Calabona.

Day 4 Friday, June 13
After breakfast and a trip to buy picnic supplies we drive to Tramariglio for a paddle to the spectacular Capo Caccia cliffs. If conditions permit we can paddle around the island of Foradada. Then we'll take a short drive and walk the 650 steps (down and then up, but not difficult) to our tour of Neptune's Cave. Dinner is back at Hotel Calabona.

Day 5  Saturday, June 14
After breakfast and buying picnic supplies we drive to Tramariglio. Paddle to Porto Conte Bay, La Stalla Beach, and Mugoni Beach, picnic lunch, and return to Tramariglio. Visit Nuraghe Palmavera. Return to hotel. Dinner. Hotel Calabona.

Day 6  Sunday, June 15
Today we drive to a new hotel. First we'll have breakfast and pack up. Then we'll have free time to relax at the hotel, swim at our beach or pool, have lunch in a cafe, or do a bit of shopping in Alghero. At 3 pm we get in the van to drive to beautiful Isola Rossa (2 hours)We’ll have a family-style seafood dinner at our hotel, Hotel La Tana di Li Mazzoni.

Day 7 Monday, June 16
After breakfast and picking up picnic supplies, we drive to Cala Sarranina and paddle the coast. After returning to the hotel we drive to the pretty hill town of Castelsardo and enjoy the views and a visit to “Castello Doria e museo dell’intreccio Mediterraneo” (Mediterranean Weaving Museum). We'll walk the town and have some great local pizza for dinner. Hotel La Tana di Li Mazzoni.

Day 8  Tuesday, June 17
After breakfast and a picnic supply stop, we drive to Marinedda Beach,  and paddle a spectacular stretch of coast to Tinnari. Tinnari has a stone beach, a granite rock garden fun for swimming, and a freshwater lagoon. We’ll have a picnic lunch on the beach. We return to the hotel for dinner. Hotel La Tana di Li Mazzoni.

Day 9 Wednesday, June 18
Sadly, today we pack up and head back to Alghero Airport to say goodbye. First we have breakfast and have time for a swim in the hotel pool. After checking out we buy picnic supplies. We'll have time for a wine and olive oil tasting before the late afternoon flights back to Italy.

Please note we may need to alter the itinerary to accommodate:
• closures;
• unsafe conditions;
• ability and fitness of the group and individuals;
• unexpected events.
If a day of kayaking is not possible, we’re happy to organize something fun and satisfying on land.
