Psych sheets will be posted on www.motths.net/swimdive on Wednesday, January 29th.
Each February the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (MISCA) hosts a meet for its member schools. Swimmers and divers from across the state and from across all three divisions compete against one another. Though the meet is not scored, state qualifying times can be achieved at the meet. To compete in the meet swimmers and divers must first achieve a minimum qualifying standard. Click here for the updated MISCA meet cuts. Of those athletes that achieve the standard, only the top 60 swimmers in each event and the top 32 divers compete. The 2014 MISCA meet is scheduled to be held at Eastern Michigan University..

Swimmers qualify to participate in the meet by achieving a qualifying time standard. Click here for 2013-14 state cuts. Divers advance to the meet by finishing in the top 12 at the Diving Regional Meet.
The Division 2 State Meet is scheduled for March 7 & 8, 2014. Prelims are held on Friday, with the top 16 swimmers advancing to the finals on Saturday. The location of this season's Division 2 Meet is Eastern Michigan University. This year's Regional Diving Meet is scheduled for March 4, 2014. The location has yet to be determined.
OAA Red Division Meet (League Meet)
The Seaholm Boys Swimming & Diving Team is a member of the Oakland Activities Association (OAA). For the sport of swimming, the OAA is divided into 3 divisions with membership in each division determined based on each team's previous season's performance. For the 2012-2013 season Seaholm will compete in Red Division. The other OAA Red Division members are Clarkston, Groves, Troy, Bloomfield Hills and North Farmington.
The OAA Red Division Meet is scheduled to be held Wednesday-Friday, February 19- 21, 2014 at Seaholm High School. Each team is allowed a total of 36 individual entries (divers + swimmers) plus 1 official relay in each relay event. Though not all swimmers/divers will be competing for points due to the 36 entry limit, all team members will have the opportunity to compete at the Division meet as an exhibition competitor. The MHSAA will officially recognize any state qualifying time standards a swimmer achieves while competing as an exhibition swimmer.
Swimming prelims will take place on Wednesday with the top 16 individual qualifiers in each event advancing to Friday's finals. The top 8 will compete in the final heat. The bottom 8 will compete in the consolation finals. No matter how fast a consolation finalist swims, the best place he can achieve is 9th. That's why it is important to swim fast both on Wednesday and Friday. Each team is guaranteed a relay in each of the 3 relay events at finals provided the relay does not false start or otherwise get disqualified during prelims. Diving prelims will take place on Thursday. The top 26 divers will advance to Friday's finals. At the end of the night Friday, the team with the most points and the best league dual meet record will be crowned the OAA Red Division Champion.
