This past week in engineering, we, the Aquaponics/Jatropha group, have furthermore worked on completing our work out in the field (there's just a few more spots that need weed cloth, however, help is on the way next Tuesday thanks to Mrs. Ireland and her biology class), and completed out powerpoint presentation. On Tuesday, we previewed our proposal and powerpoint with Mr. Killhour and he gave us tips on what we should expect from our formal presentation to Mr. Schmidt and the Board of Trustees Friday morning. We have made several changes and are ready to present tomorrow morning. Hopefully they will accept our proposal, especially our ideal location (behind the kitchen, next to the engineering labs) so that we can start building immediately.
Also, Dane has been working on finding potential grant money. Thanks to the help of Sydney (member of the Space group and noobie-soon-to-be-expert grant writer), we will hopefully reach our goal of $5,000 for our Aquaponics project. We plan on working hard to raise these funds all of next week, as well as finalize our design and make sure that everything is running smoothly out in the Jatropha field.
