San Diego’s 16th annual top non-native Japanese speech contest rallies
America’s finest high school and college students to speak up (San
Diego, CA 3-17-2013)
Youth from across San Diego gather
to speak out and present their stories for a chance to win cash/non-cash prizes and a
shot at a national contest. In addition to commemorate the recent tsunami,
Japanese natives and community members will be present and volunteering for
cultural exchange interactions. If you are a local high school and college/university
student who is studying Japanese or love Japanese culture, art, history, and
people this is for you.
Place: Carlsbad Public Library in Carlsbad, San Diego, California
Time: March 17 Sunday 12:30 - 5:00 pm *Contest starts at 1:00.)
Who: high school students and College/University students in San Diego
Top three high school winners are eligible to compete at the National Competition. http://www.jlsf-aurora.org/speechcontest.html
There is no national competition for college/university students, regrettably.
