Scratched Media in Dubai

posted 29 Aug 2013, 06:11 by Adam Carr   [ updated 29 Aug 2013, 06:13 ]

Hey, not posted since March (nearly 6 months ago!), mainly down to the fact that I've been trying to find a job in Dubai and finally moved out here in May! Now iv'e settled down into the hot desert city life I'm trying to get Scratched Media on its feet in the city and get involved in the DIY scene. Believe it or not, Dubai has a small catchment of punk/mental/alt/etc bands and there are plenty of people with a passion for DIY music and a diverse mix of cultures. Iv'e met some cool guys and started jamming with them, started up a DJ night with some other dudes and hopefully I'll put some local bands out on here!

So what's going to happen to the UK arm of Scratched Media? Well, not a lot (no change there then) but if you want to help out, please let me know. It would be really cool to be able to cover two different continents worth of underground music and be able to publish music at each end as well, resulting in more coverage for the bands! If you have any gigs that you want listing on the gig page, please Tweet or email me.

Ok, going to brave the heat outside now...
