FAQ

What is a crop?
Crops are essentially scrapbooking parties. It's a great way to get people together to get some layouts completed while talking, eating, and having a good time.

What is our Scrapping for a cure retreat?
Through our Scrapbook retreats we want to promote awareness and create hope for those with Cystic Fibrosis.
All of our proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
All committee members and staff work on a volunteer basis.

Will there be a place to purchase supplies?

Yes, we will have vendors set up to supply you with scrapbook product & goodies during most of the event.

Where do I sleep?
Hilton Memphis has provided our group with a discounted rate. Please refer to the event details form.

What if I don't scrapbook?
No worries. We welcome all crafters, knitting, sewing, etc.

How much should I bring?
This is mostly a personal decision and can vary, however, enough supplies to last you 36 hours of cropping. Keep in mind, all of your scrapbook supplies must fit in your allotted scrapbook space. This is strictly enforced. We do have a sample packing list for your convenience and a week by week preparation sheet recommendations.

What should I wear?
Comfy Layers. Temperatures can vary as well as individual preference. Keep in mind that Friday is our costume contest and Saturday is SFAC T-shirt spirit night.

What about music?
Again due to personal preference, personal MP3 players are welcome everywhere via headphones only.

Will I have access to wifi & cell service?
Absolutely! Free wifi in guest rooms and the event room.

Will I have access to electrical outlets?
We try to accommodate all our croppers needs. Electricity is available, so please bring extension cord and power strip in case it isn't located next to your table.
Please note this need on your registration form.

What will my table space be like?

Keep in mind, all of your scrapbook supplies must fit in your allotted scrapbook space.
No supplies should be placed in walkways. This is strictly enforced.

Will I be able to sit with my friends?
We will try our best to seat groups together. This option can be found and is discussed in the registration form. This option is a first come first serve basis. As the crop fills up, we may not be able to accommodate all group requests. If this is the case, we will let the group know ahead of time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy

We do understand that circumstances arise that prevent you from attending and we work to accommodate each request. However, we will not be able to transfer registrations from one event to another. You may request a refund in writing, minus a $50.00 cancellation fee, on or before March 15th. After March 15th, no refunds will be issued, including, but not limited to weather or natural disasters.

Due to contracted commitments to the rental agency, refunds cannot be issued for cancellations received after March 15th unless I have a waiting list and can fill your spot. There will absolutely be no refunds for no-shows. There is NO EXCEPTION to the cancellation policy. Registrations can be transferred to another person but not to a future event. Scrapping for a Cure reserves the right to cancel an event. Should an event be cancelled, all registration fees paid will be refunded by check.

Returned checks will be charged a $25.00 fee and the check will need to be replaced with a money order.

Payment of the full event fee is due before March 15th. It is important that your full payment be made on time. We have commitments to our venue and need your timely payment to meet our deadlines. Failure to pay your final balance by the due date may result in losing your space at the event and the nonrefundable deposit.
