More about me

My background includes a B.S. in entomology from the University of Delaware, an M.S. in biology from Northern Arizona University, and a Ph.D. in wildlife ecology from Michigan State University.

After a brief stint with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, I taught for eight years at Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma Biological Station.  Since 1986, I've been writing a weekly nature column for newspapers and freelancing for magazines.  In 1992, I took my skills to radio.  On my home page you can find current columns at the web sites listed, and you can listen live to my radio shows on the stations listed.
