I am currently a Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Bioinformtacs and Computational Biology Curriculum under the tutaliage of two brilliant advisors: Jeff Dangl and Corbin Jones.  I am specifically interested in metagenomics, algorithms, and any projects involving high through-put sequencing.

Believe it or not, there is life outside of lab work.  My hobbies include basketball, racquetball, backpacking, wake-boarding  and reading fantasy novels.  I am also heavily involved with my church and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
