Designer/Artist/Educator Scottie Chih-Chieh Huang 黃致傑 is an assistant professor at CGE/IPTA/IIMPAET at NTHU - National Tsing Hua University. His LAB - Biologically Inspired Object, conducts innovative design inspired from nature morphology, with developing new forms of artificial object, exploring the intersection between Information visualization, tangible interaction, transformable and bionic design.

Scottie was received awards by Flower Design Award by Matuyama Design Week, Salone Satellite Award by Salone del Mobile Milano, featured in Elle Decor Italia's "Best of Design 2015," iF Design Award, and Red Dot Design AwardAt SIGGRAPH Asia 2016 in Macau, he was the first Taiwanise chair of the program "Art Gallery." He also served as a jury member for CHI, SIGGRAPH, HCII and Automation in Construction.

Scottie has presented his work at a variety of academic, design, and artistic venues including ACM SIGGRAPH/SIGGRAPH ASIAACM SIGCHIIEEE VISZKM, Milan Design WeekISEANYSCI, HCIICAADFuturesKinetica MuseumStockholm Design WeekHolland Animation Film Festival, Off d'Avignon, Prague Quadrennial, Taipei Fine Arts MuseumNational Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei. His work has been featured in wide-ranging publications including LeonardoIEEE IoT-J, ACM/Springer MONETDomusFRAME, ELLE DECOR Italia, and Designboom.

Scottie has been awarded residencies from Grame - centre national de création musicale (Lyon, France) and ARAC - Anderson Ranch Arts Center (Colorado, USA). He graduated with a PhD in GAS (Group of Architectural Synergy) from NTUST - National Taiwan University of Science & Technology and a MS in Digital Media Design in GIA from NCTU - National Chiao Tung University. He taught course at schools including National Dong Hwa University, Chung Hua University, National Chiao Tung University, National Taiwan University of Science & Technology, Shih Chien University, National Taipei University of Technology, and Taipei National University of the Arts before 2018.
