Biography

Scott is a Professor of Finance at the SC Johnson College of Business. His primary research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, behavioral finance, and investments. Much of Professor Yonker's research utilizes tools from psychology, sociology, and economics to investigate how identifiable differences in “key” market players affect the important decisions that they make. His work has been accepted for publication in The Journal of Finance, The Review of Financial Studies, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Management Science; has been cited by the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, CNN, and Bloomberg.  He serves as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and at Management Science.

Professor Yonker holds a Ph.D. in finance from the Ohio State University, a master’s degree in economics from Duke University, a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Bowling Green State University, and has been a CFA charterholder since 2005. Prior to entering academia, Professor Yonker was a portfolio manager for a registered investment advisory firm.
