Saturday, Oct. 19 - Community Breakfast

Saturday, Oct. 19 - An Evening of Music - Featuring the Schroon River String Band (A Bluegrass Band) and The New Messengers (Vocal Quartet) with Pastor Carl Shepard singing Bass, at our Church on Saturday evening, October 19th at 7 p.m. Donations are welcome! The purpose of this concert is to sponsor Skye Farm Camp scholarships for the Children and Youth of the Church. A reception, sponsored by the Women’s Group, will follow the concert. Note: Tickets for the upcoming Roast Beef dinner will be available after the concert.

Sunday Worship Service - 11:00 am

Finance Meeting – Wednesday, Oct. 23rd at 7 pm.

Thursday Morning Bible Study from 9:30 -11:00 in the Fireside Room. Pastor Chris will be leading the group.

Children's Halloween Party - Sat. 10/26 from 1:00 -3:00 pm. Costumes, games, crafts and candy - it will be lots of fun!

Women’s Group - Debbie Fowler, the president of Eyes Wide Open NENY, an organization which raises awareness of human trafficking, will speak on Monday Nov. 4th at 7 PM in the fireside room. Refreshments will be served. Locally Debbie operates the store, Her Treasure Box, which is a creative arts thrift store, to provide hope and healing for victims. We encourage all to attend this session.

Annual Roast Beef Dinner - Saturday,  November 9th from 4:30-6:30 with continuous seating.  Tickets for adults are $12, children 5-12 at $5.00 and children under 5 free.  Dessert will be a choice of homemade pies.  Tickets available during coffee hour.  Please see Holly or Mark.

Charge Conference – November 10th -Join us for joint worship at 10:00 am and Charge Conference immediately following worship with Faith UMC on Sunday Nov. 10th.  District Superintendent Rich Weihing will be joining us to preach and preside over charge conference.  We will be meeting in the Fellowship Room with a pot luck lunch so please bring a dish or dessert to share.  If you would like to help with the luncheon please contact Deb Elliott, 518-339-2341.

Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee - meeting Oct. 27th and Nov. 24th immediately after church.

Tuesday Morning Meditation – 9:00 am at Central Park.

Wednesday Morning Communion Service – 10:00 am at Faith UMC.                                        

Wednesday Evening Meditation – 6:00 pm at Faith.

All Saints Day - Nov. 3 - If you would like to list a name of a loved one who has died this past year, please email the name to the church office by 10/29. Feel free to bring in a picture as a memorial to place on the altar that Sunday.

Monthly Reconciling Church gathering - Burnt Hills United Methodist Church at 6:30 PM on October 22nd. 

 Men’s Group – Breakfast, both men and women welcome, with guest speaker David Rowell (Better Angels). Saturday, Oct. 26 at 9:00 am, at Jill & Steve Wesley’s house, 321Closson Rd, Glenville.
