The research paper should be type-written in Times New Roman (font size 13 and bold for the title and font size 12 for the main body text), with single line spacing and 1 inch margins throughout. A template for the research paper is available here.
The length of the research paper should not exceed 9 pages including diagrams, tables and graphs but excluding references and appendices.
The final approved version of the research paper (soft copy in MS Word format) must be submitted to your mentor by 6 August 2018. Mentors will vet and submit the papers to institution coordinators for clearance and collation by 13 August 2018. Research papers submitted directly by students to GE Branch will not be accepted.
Poster Exhibit at Youth Science Conference
All participants are required to present their research findings using a A0 size poster (measuring approximately 85 cm x 130 cm) in the portrait orientation. Velcro tapes for mounting the posters will be provided by GE Branch.Title of the project should be brief, informative and readable from 2 - 3 metres away.
Headings should include purpose, hypothesis, procedure, results and conclusion.
Text should be kept to a minimum, and where necessary, be clear and concise.
Tables, diagrams and photographs should be kept simple. Legends and labels should be easy to read. Only originals are accepted and all sources should be acknowledged appropriately.
Mount your poster according to the panel code on the board.
