Welcome

We hope you can use some of the ideas contained in this website for a school science project, or just for fun. For example we will show you how to use  mashed potato to make an electric battery or an empty plastic bottle to make an electric motor...really!

On this page you can read statements of very famous scientists, so you can see that they all express their views of science using their own words and definitions, and so should you.

Isaac Asimov

Science does not purvey absolute truth, science is a mechanism. It’s a way of trying to improve your knowledge of nature, it’s a system for testing your thoughts against the universe and seeing whether they match.

Carl Sagan

Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.”

Albert Einstein

One thing I have learned in a long life: that all our science, measured against reality, is primitive and childlike — and yet it is the most precious thing we have.

Claude-Levi Strauss

The scientist is not a person who gives the right answers, he’s one who asks the right questions.

Marie Curie

One never notices what has been done; one can only see what remains to be done…

Richard Feynman

If you are going to teach people to make observations, you should show that something wonderful can come from them. I learned then what science was about: it was patience. If you looked, and you watched, and you paid attention, you got a great reward from it — although possibly not every time.
