Schuss B63 is a racing yacht owned by Denis and Christine McConnell sailing from the Royal Brighton Yacht Club in Melbourne, Victoria.

Denis and Christine have owned several yachts named Schuss over many years. The latest is a JPK 11.80 launched in June 2023 

First Crew Day 5th August 2023

First day out with most of the crew. Very light conditions but enough to start getting familiar with her.

Rig and Sail testing day - 1st July 2023

A quick trip out to check the rig tuning and new North Sails. A few minor tweaks to the rig tension was all that was required. Did not push her but she behaved and performed very nicely indeed.

Mast Raising Day - 29th June 2023

Launch Day - 28th June 2023

Delivered from Innovation Composites in Nowra, NSW via truck and straight onto the SYC travellift and into the cold waters of Port Phillip.

New Chapter - The JPK 11.80

Schuss is now a JPK 11.80 made by Innovation Composites in 2023 for JPK Pacific.

Launched at SYC in June 2023 and based at Royal Brighton Yacht Club 

Purchased through Race Yachts who handled the delivery and commissioning too.

Schuss B63 was previously a Beneteau First 45 built in 2008. In January 2022 she was struck by lightning which caused significant damage resulting in her being put up for salvage. Shortly after the search for a new yacht began and the JPK 11.80 was ordered.
