NEVADA DIVISION OF WILDLIFE INTERNSHIP IN WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT   This is a great opportunity for someone interested in a career in wildlife biology! Harry S. Truman Scholarship  Each year, the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation awards 55-65 scholarships in the amount of $30,000. Applicants need to be driven, ambitious, demonstrate academic success, and dedicated to public service.  Applicants must contact via e-mail to initiate the application process, office@truman.gov.  
Dr. Pepper  Students 18 – 24 are eligible for scholarships of $5,000 to $100,000 with dr. Pepper tuition Giveaway. Eligible students simply have to go to the Dr. pepper Tuition Giveaway website and submit their “one of a kind goal” to enter for a chance to win up to $100,000. Elks Most Valuable Students Scholarship November 30, 2016 The Elks Foundation awards 500 four-year scholarships to the highly qualified high school students. The scholarships range from $1,000 to $15,000 a year for the student’s four years of college. Students must pursue a four-year degree on a full-time basis at a U.S. college or university on order to be eligible for this scholarship. Ronald McDonald House Charities - Scholars January 18, 2017 Applicants must demonstrate a financial need for tuition assistance and have a minimum GPA of 2.7 to be considered eligible. Create a Greeting Card Scholarship Contest February 1, 2017 The Gallery Collection/Prudent Publishing Company sponsors a wonderful opportunity for students. Applicants must create and submit a photo, artwork, or computer graphic for the front of a greeting card. Wording is not required, but can be incorporated into the design. Applications are due in February of each year. The amount of the scholarship is $10,000. Applicants must initiate the scholarship process via e-mail, scholarshipadmin@gallerycollection.com

Community Foundation of Western Nevada Scholarships February 17, 2017 Several scholarships available - deadlines ranging from February 28-April 30. Anne Frank Outstanding Scholarship Award February 18, 2017 The Anne Frank Center USA has a scholarship available for students who exemplify the commitment, ideals and courage that Anne Frank exhibited. These community leaders must be graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to a four-year college. The grand prize is a $10,000 scholarship. A second winner will receive a one-time $5,000 scholarship. Nevada Energy Scholarship March 15, 2017 Nevada high school seniors and GBC students are eligible for the scholarship program. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, show proven community service, and plan to attend a post secondary institution. WyzAnt College Scholarships May 1, 2017 WyzAnt is an organization that provides quality tutoring services for students. Their scholarship program rewards three applicants who submit compelling 300-word essays that articulate how education has been empowering. The scholarship amounts are $10,000 for first, $3,000 for second, and $2,500 for third. Plantiff Relief Scholarship May 1, 2017 The Plaintiff Relief Scholar Program seeks to identify students who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, show exceptional leadership potential and have a track record of bettering the community around them. Each year, one student is granted a scholarship of $1,000. The recipients may use the scholarships to attend the two or four-year college or university of their choice. To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and current high school seniors or college enrollees at the time of their application. Applicants should demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need. Textbook Brokers Scholarship May 19, 2017 All graduating seniors taking college courses for credit at the University of Nevada, Reno and Truckee Meadows Community College for Fall 2017 may qualify for scholarship awards as described above. All seniors interested in applying must complete the short application form below and then click to watch the one minute video. When the video concludes click "Submit." Essays are not required for all awards, however all finalists will receive a questionnaire via email. For top two award levels, please respond to one of the following essay prompts (500 words max). Mahin and Saifulla Salemy High School Scientific Scholarship May 31, 2017 The Mahin and Saifulla Salemy High School Scientific Scholarship is open to high school seniors in the United States who have been accepted to and will attend college (either 4-year or community) in the United States, and have an interest in the sciences. The student honored with this scholarship will be awarded $1,000, which will be issued to the accepting college. The application process includes: a written application, a personal statement, 3 references, and an in-person or 'other' interview. Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship June 30, 2017 Since 2001 the Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship Program has been helping qualifying students pay for higher education. The scholarship is merit-based and thus financial need is not weighted in the decision. Students must complete an online form and submit a 250 word essay on an assigned topic in order to apply for the scholarship.
