About Mrs. Schreier

This is my seventh year teaching at State Bridge Crossing Elementary.  All seven of those years I have been lucky enough to teach 5th grade.  It is the perfect age where the students are curious and interested in learning, while they can be challenged to delve into rich content.  I received my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia.  I am also certified in teaching ESOL and TAG programs.

I have been married to my husband, Jon, for three years and we have a 4 month old daughter, Addison.  We also have an adorable puppy named Brooks, and love living in the Johns Creek area.  I am a true Georgia fan, but can be spotted frequently at Auburn events as my husband is a die-hard Auburn Tiger.  During the spring, I coach the Girls Lacrosse Team at Chattahoochee.  In addition, I also coach swimming at Seven Oaks in the summer.

We will stay quite busy this year as my goal is to challenge each student to his/her highest potential.  I enjoy using technology throughout the day as I think technology skills are vital to each child's future.  I also encourage creativity and individual thinking as we will hold class debates, allow for problem solving, and encourage the child to discover new things daily.  Each child learns differently, therefore our class will be full of different choices and opportunities for everyone.

I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year and look forward to working closely with you.  Feel free to e-mail me with any concerns or questions at schreierk@fultonschools.org.
