What is missing in today's educational system is adequate training in character.  Many students come to school lacking wholeness and demonstrating deficiencies in those character traits that keep them from being successful not only in school but also in the world at large.

Our vision is to see students demonstrate the following attributes in their lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We believe that, with the implementation of this character curriculum, practical results in students' lives will be evident, such as a desire to excel, regular class attendance, responsibility for homework and materials, respect for and courtesy toward authority and peers, and other desirable attributes.

This character curriculum makes use of many varied sources, such as material teaching youth how to be good stewards of their money, CD's on people of unforgettable character and courage like Anne Frank and Helen Keller, audio sources encouraging and inspiring youth, biblical characters who exhibit excellence in morality, and Bible study and questions.

The School of Character's curriculum is very flexible.  It can be used in a variety of ways:

  • a curriculum for a particular grade level
  • chapel services
  • teacher discretion according to current curriculum
  • teacher discretion according to problems in the classroom
  • teacher discretion according to areas of class study.
