I am an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and in 2016-17 I am a visiting assistant professor at Harvard University. Previously, I was an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Chicago and before that I was a graduate student at Yale University, where I received my Ph.D in 2011.
My research focuses on seventeenth-century philosophy and is concerned primarily with questions at the intersection of metaphysics, mathematics, and theology. I am particularly interested in theories of substance, dependence, infinity, and being in the early modern period, focusing on Descartes, Spinoza, Locke, and Leibniz.My CV is here.
