I am an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. I have previously held faculty positions at the University of Chicago and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and received my PhD from Yale and my BSc from Tel Aviv University.
My research focuses on seventeenth-century philosophy and is concerned primarily with questions at the intersection of metaphysics, mathematics, and theology. I am particularly interested in theories of substance, dependence, infinity, and being in the early modern period, focusing on Descartes, Spinoza, Locke, and Leibniz.
My CV is here. My email is anat.schechtman@austin.utexas.edu.
