Scenic Rivers Area Health Education Center is one of seven geographically located centers throughout the state of Wisconsin. These seven centers are community-based, not-for-profit organizations whose shared goal is to improve access to health care by improving the number, distribution, and diversity of health care providers in the region they serve. The state AHEC program office is located at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin. The Scenic Rivers AHEC office is located in Cashton. This office oversees AHEC programming in a ten county region including Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau, and Vernon counties.
Scenic Rivers AHEC's Rural Health Tour program received national recognition at the NAO Annual Conference. Wisconsin State AHEC Program was also awarded the Program of Excellence award. Thank you all partners and participants!
