        Business Fair

        Our Annual Business Fair is on Wednesday, April 16.  Grade 7 and 8 students will be selling crafts, food and other activities such as face painting.  Parents are welcome to attend (be sure to sign in at the office first).  All proceeds go toward the Intermediate Trip to Toronto next month.

        With Mother’s Day, May 11 just around the corner, your School Council thought we would help you get a head start on your gift buying. You may purchase four inch, or six inch standard chrysanthemums or the six inch spectacular ball chrysanthemums just in time for Mother’s Day. Proceeds will go to meeting the School Council’s goal of putting a Smartboard in every classroom. Please return your form and payment by April 24, 2014.

        The flowers can be put into the garden once they are finished blooming to come back year after year.

        Delivery date for the flowers will be May 8th.    

        The flowers will be supplied by Blue Mountain Flowers.

        Prices are:  FOUR " POT $5.00,  SIX " POT $10.00  and a SIX " Spectacular Bloom POT for $15.00

        Summer School 2014

        Each year the Simcoe County District School Board offers a variety of summer programs to over 2,000 students.Summer School provides students an opportunity to be better prepared for their future academic goals. 

        New this year is an eLearning option for grade 10 Civics and Careers and grade 12 English ENG4C or ENG4U. 

        Be sure to register early as many classes fill quickly.

        Summer School bus route information will be available in June.

        Current SCDSB elementary and secondary students use the Summer School Online Registration link to register for summer programs.  Your will need your school username to register using Online Registration.  See your Principal/Guidance if you require assistance.

        All registrations will be approved electronically by your Principal/Guidance to complete the registration process.

        Circle of Learning 2014

        For the sixth year, the PIC (Parent Involvement Committee) is hosting a one day conference on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Education Centre from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.mWe invite all interested Simcoe County District School Board parents/guardians to attend.

         

        The Circle of Learning conference and registration information are publicized on the boards website at: www.scdsb.on.ca.  

         

        A light lunch and refreshments are provided for parents/guardians.  As well, childcare is available for those parents/guardians who require this service (space is limited and pre-registration is required).  A full day childcare program will be offered at the Simcoe County Museum for children aged six to twelve.

        Kindergarten Registration at Cameron Street P.S!

        Kindergarten registration has begun!  To be eligible, your child must be 4 years of age by December 31, 2014 (born in 2010).  Please call us at 705-445-2902 or stop in to Cameron Street for a registration package.

        Also take time to visit www.sharingsimcoe.com to see "What Kids Need to Know about Kindergarten."  A great video that not only features information on Kindergarten, but tips from current Kindergarten students, including two of our own Cameron Comets!!!

        Grade 4 and 4/5 Fieldtrip Postponed...

        Once again due to the forecast and windchill temperature, the ski trip for Mrs. Hare and Mr. Potter's classes has been postponed for Wednesday January 29th. 

        Another date for this trip will be posted when it is re-booked.
