This page was placed on Google for some experimentation with various options offered by Google. The instructions, however, will be for setting up and maintaining the WordPress Page.

Note that the first experiment takes us further from the color scheme. Light text on dark does not always lend itself to printing, but allows for another set of formatting ideas to be considered.

QUESTIONS and COMMENTS

This section will include the questions that have come up for the WordPress Site (although some would apply here too)

• 1. The text on the Home page uses three similar, but different, fonts inside the image. This creates a "busy" feel which can also look less professional. The three fonts in the image will be contained on a page which will typically display 2 different fonts which cannot perfectly match those in the image. Can we redo the image with only one or two fonts? Ideally, I think it would be the Roman "embossed" style for SCAARS, along with a perfectly matched "unembossed" version of the same font. Also, there are some "letter-spacing" problems with the font used in the words. Note for example the wide space between the V and O in Advocates and the very narrow spacing between the T and E in the same word.

  2. The brochures included in one of the emails have typos, repetitions, or phrases that should probably be changed slightly or reformatted. Any changes will be documented. Examples are changing Howard Weinstein to Harvey Weinstein, and changing the content (3 paragraphs) where this is found to "left justified" instead of "centered." The title of the page can remain "centered." Also, is the email name scaars.org@gmail.com controlled by Roger?

1. The MENU should move Grand Jury in front of BLOGS, so that the Menu ends with some CALLS TO ACTION (either engage your furthered interest by reading (or commenting) on the blog, or look at ways to SUPPORT CHANGE. Grand Jury is a bit anti-climactic. So the question is whether we can change the order, and whether we can reduce the text in some of the Menu items.
