HPC Education

One of the major goals of the Student Cluster Competition (SCC) is to foster HPC curriculum development in educational institutions. Maintaining a computationally aware workforce is necessary in order to meet the challenges of the future.  The pipeline for this workforce starts at the educational institutions.

This year some of our team advisors and past team advisors will share their unique experience of participating with the SCC and discuss its importance within the broader HPC community.  Team advisors will participate in a panel on HPC curriculum development in educational institutions. This panel is in collaboration with SC Communities, in particular the SC10 Education and Broader Engagement Programs.

Panelist include Byoung-Do Kim (Team University of Texas at Austin, SC10), Doug Smith (Team University of Colorado at Boulder, SC10), Anna Labutina (Team Nizhni Novgorod State University, SC10), Yeh-Ching Chung (Team National Tsing Hua University, SC10), Preston Smith (Team Purdue University, SC07-09), and

Randy Herban, (Team Purdue University SC10).

The panel will be held on Monday, November 15 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM in Education Plenary room 293-294.

At SC10 be sure to attend the
