SC10 Student Cluster Competition

The SC10 Student Cluster Competition is an intense challenge, where the hard work and preparation of student teams will culminate on the exhibit floor. During SC10, student teams will compete to

  • Run the HPC Challenge benchmarks to achieve the best performance
  • Run a real-world workload for the four designated applications to achieve the highest throughput of accurate runs
  • Impress SC participants and judges with their ability to convey their HPC knowledge through visualizations, interviews, booth display, all-around-friendliness, AND a short outreach presentation to student participants

Points will be awarded for all three components listed above. The team scoring the highest aggregate points across all three components will be the overall winner of the competition. Recognition will also be given to the team with the highest LINPACK (can we break a TFlop this year???) and the team chosen as the Fan Favorite by SC participants.

We will forever be part of the happy face gang :)
