Profile of Dr. Srinivasan Brahadeeswaran
Dr. S. Brahadeeswaran received his Ph.D degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in the year 2001. After a stay of six years in University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom and Osaka University, Osaka, Japan for postdoctoral research work he joined Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (AUT-T) in the year 2007 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics. He has got 7 years of teaching experience and 15 years of research experience (excluding the period spent for Ph.D). His field of research interest is mainly focused on developing crystalline materials for Nonlinear Optical, Terahertz and Semiconductor applications. He is a recipient of internationally competitive fellowship called JSPS which is awarded by Government of Japan. He has also received Young Scientist award through Fast Track Scheme by DST of Government of India. He has received DST sponsored projects worth Rs 18.47 Lakhs & Rs 29.79 Lakhs. Dr. S. Brahadeeswaran has filed a national patent in TIFAC of DST. He has published 32 research articles in internationally reputed journals with a total citation of 475 and h-index of 12. He has attended several international and national conferences and has presented his research work in several international and national conferences. He has been reviewing the research articles for the following international journals: Advanced Functional Materials, Crystal Growth & Design, Journal of Crystal Growth, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Optical Materials, Crystal Research Technology etc. He has guided 2 Ph.D scholars and 12 M. Tech (Nanoscience and Technology) students and guiding 4 Ph.D scholars and 3 M. Tech (Nanoscience and Technology) students. Dr. S. Brahadeeswaran has been selected by Anna University Chennai to teach Engineering Physics through online to all the 550 Engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University Chennai.
