I recently bought a Coronado PST.  Here you will find my images and any other bits and pieces associated with solar imaging.

I have now added the Saxon ED80mm to an EQ3 mount thats motorised.  The ED80 has a Thousand Oaks  solar filter fitted to the end for surface detail and sun spots.  A  good combination and when running tracks very well.

Below are the first light shots done with my Kodak C743 digital compact camera.  I found the Canon 400D too heavy and too big to focus it properly.   The compact has the large LCD screen that makes framing and focusing so much easier

On the left is the original image and on the right is the tweaked image

here's a shot of the large prominence 6th April 2008.  Taken with the digital Kodack C743, hand held to the 12mm EP in the Coronado 40mm  PST

Just tweaked the bright and contrast.
