CES Students got a taste of
Native American Culture on November 14

The CES PTO invited Kunnaway (Young Bear) and his
walk beside (wife) Awabejiwani (Birdie) to come to
Central School to talk with our students and
share their culture. It was a wonderful
day of discovery for everyone!

We are always looking to get more parents involved in the PTO! There are volunteer opportunities to fit everyone's interests and schedules.  Visit our PTO Activities page to learn more and print out and send in the PTO Volunteer Interest Survey to your child's teacher so that we can contact you!

If you are a parent of a Central School child, ask to join our Facebook group  and get regular PTO updates! You can also search
for us under "Central Elementary PTO".
*To maintain privacy we verify that each request to join comes from a CS parent, so approval by the group adminstrator may take a few days.

Planting of the Green
April 4

Come get your hands dirty at our annual Planting of the Green! CES students will sing songs and get dirty planting vegitables. Once plants are old enough they will be harvisted for our all school salad bar on Field Day. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please contact Mrs. Seekamp at

Staff Appreciation Week
April 30-May 4

It's time once again to thank the amazing teachers and staff who make our school so special. The PTO has set up several fun surprises through the week to let them know just how much we appreciate all that they do for our children. If you would like to help us celebrate, contact Ilaria Zinser at

May 7-11

Join us for our spring Buy-One Get-One Free Book Fair! Our book fair surrounds students in the celebration of reading with hundreds of fun, engaging books for        them to discover. Giving kids access to good books to choose on their own                     will motivate them to read more. And like most skills, the more they practice,               the better they will get!

There are more than just books
in the CES Library!

Have you seen the Fairy House in the
CES Library? He or she took up residence
a few years ago and has made her/himself
quite at home!
Ask your kids about it.

Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who supports the CES PTO.
With your support and the dedication or our PTO Dads team,
last summer they were able to
build 9 beautiful new book shelves for our Library.
Make sure to check them out!
