My profile

I earned my B.S. in Biology, with a secondary concentration in Teacher Education from Bates College in 2001.   I  earned my M. Ed in Science Education at Boston University in 2006.  I attained National Board Certification in 2013.  I keep on learning.

I am currently teaching Earth Science 1, Biology 1, and AP Chemistry at Boston Latin School.  In the past I have taught Biology 2, Chemistry 1, and Physics 1 as well.  This is now my 16th year at the Latin School. Current teaching will take place in room 318, but my future location has yet to be determined when 8th grade science becomes a reality.

I am 37 years old, and  enjoy running, hiking, playing the guitar, and reading.  I am pretty obsessed with Game of Thrones and Fantasy Football; typical stuff really.   I live north of Boston with my wife, who is also a teacher, Wilson, our dog, Nicholas, our son, and Lucy, our daughter.
