About me
Am basically from Pune. Have deep interests in Physics and pure sciences. Mathematics, being inevitable to Physics, is also one of my favorite subjects.
Education
Schooling in Pune from Dr. Kalmadi Shamrao High school. (formerly known as Karanatak High School)
Graduation from Cummins college of Engineering for Women, Pune - part of Maharshi Karve Stri Shikshan Sanstha. Bachalor's degree from University of Pune in Information Technology.
Post-Graduation from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in Computer Science
Work Experience
Member of technical staff and module lead at Persistent Systems Ltd.. Worked on various application software in domains like identity management, security, authentication systems, vertical search engine etc.
Research associate at IIT,Bombay for a short stint of time.
Team lead at Persistent Systems Ltd, Pune. My work here is mainly focused in the area of text mining, analytics and search.
PubMatic India Pvt Ltd as a ML engineer and tech lead. The work mainly revolves around building systems and algorithms for ad optimization in online advertising. It also deals with some analytics which requires handling large amounts of data.
Saama technologies as a Data Scientist. The work is in varied domains ranging from health care to advertising to HR - where ever it is possible to apply machine learning algorithms to make effective use of these techniques to make the best from the data collected.
Currently working as a software engineer at Google in YouTube ads group and having a great time! :)
Research Interests
Couple of years I spent for my post-graduation was the most wonderful phase. It made me realize my interest in CS subjects like text mining and machine learning. Working with my professors, Prof. Soumen Chakrabarti and Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan, for my masters project for about one and a half years is what made me realize this. So it is more of "interests" for me than "work", since this has now become more of a fun and enjoyment and interest and passion rather than mere education...

Relaxation
I love music and art. I learnt to play harmonium as a little kid but did not pursue it much further. I do have some experience in playing violin as well that I pursued for quite some time. Have lost touch again, but hoping to get in the stream again very soon. Apart from that, I love to paint. Anything in watercolors is what I like to do. Its a quick and easy medium. I am quite impatient to do oils due to the amount of time it takes to complete one piece of work. But I have tried my hands on almost all possible medium right from water colors to oils, from pencils to ink, from natural colors to charcoal. Each one of the them have are unique in their own ways and I enjoyed working with each of them - individually as well as with some mix-n-match at times. Enjoy some of my art work here...
