Sleepless nights

Over the past few days, my hectic musician's schedule has had me waking up early in the morning for rehearsals and then playing gigs late at night. This allowed me to take a quick afternoon nap whenever possible but only a few hours of sleep overnight before I'd have to wake up again. It's probably not healthy, but now that my body is used to sleeping for only a short period of time, I can't sleep when I have enough time in my schedule to allow me a full night's sleep. My body thinks I should be out playing a gig and driving home for another hour afterwards.

Oh well, I'm using this time instead to look ahead at what's coming up on my schedule over the next month. Coming off of the busiest February I think I've ever had in my life, March might just give me more of a chance to rest. I'll be volunteering at the Lancaster Roots & Blues Festival on March 9-11 so I don't have any public gigs of my own to promote that weekend. The public gigs I'm playing next month are these:
  • AM Radio Tribute Band will be at the Bridgeport Ribhouse twice this month: first on Sunday, March 4, and again on Tuesday, March 20. Our home base has become a fertile ground for us to try out new songs, so come to these gigs and let us know how we're doing.
  • AM Radio Tribute Band returns to JD McGillicuddy's Roxborough in Philadelphia on Friday, March 16. We enjoyed reaching a new audience there this past Thursday night; it'll be great to play JD's on a Friday to see how well we can fill the room.
  • For your evening entertainment on St. Patrick's Day, look no further than DaVinci's Pub in Collegeville for a performance by AM Radio Tribute Band. That’s Saturday, March 17.
  • The Flamin' Caucasians are at Peppers Italian Restaurant & Bar in King of Prussia on Sunday, March 18. We are ever pumped to play this room because the hearty dance crowd never fails to disappoint.
  • Last but not least, AM Radio Tribute Band returns to Tom N Jerry's in Milmont Park on Saturday, March 24. We can hardly believe what a turnout this place delivers because when we started playing there, it was in a nearly empty room. But the venue believed in us and stuck with us, and it has paid off immensely.
