The winter of 2016-2017 is upon us! With lots of long-range predictions pointing to a banner year we eagerly await old man winter. A friendly reminder to stay off of the trails until they are officially opened. Check www.ofsc.on.ca for the latest trail status udpates. Our volunteers have been busy brushing and signing trails.
We are in need of more volunteers!!! Why not come on out and get to know the crew? There are many opportunities to help out but it is entirely up to you. We typically meet 5 - 6 times a year on Monday evenings. Simply send us a message on Facebook or go to the Contact Us link and send a message to anyone of the members who would be more than happy to let you know the details.
We are going to be having our informal weekend group rides again this winter. The plan is to meet at Sauble Golf and Country Club (on the B-trail) and head out at 11:00 on Saturdays. Come on out and meet some fellow sledders!
Our fundraiser BBQ at Sauble Golf on February 13th was a great success! Despite the -18C temperatures it was a beautiful day to get together with friends and families to help raise funds for the Sauble school playground fund and the Hepworth school Parent Council. Thank you for your support everyone!!
Join us this Saturday... and every Saturday throughout the snowmobile season.... for a group ride! The plan is for anyone who is interested to meet up at the Sauble Golf and Country Club on Saturday morning. Riders will depart at 11:00, so be sure to get there with enough time to get organized. It will all be rather informal - with consideration for how far you want to go and your preferred pace. Our goal is simple, to build our riding community - to get to know one another beyond the obligatory smile and wave while on the trail.
Our first group ride was small but mighty. 6 riders gathered for breakfast at Bogey's and made our way south toward Southampton, Tara and home again. It was a perfect day for a ride. We met a lot of other riders out enjoying the trails before the rain. When ever the trails are open, feel free to join in. Riders can share what they want out of a ride. Perhaps you are new to the sport and would like a more relaxed pace, you may have children in tow, or you are new to the area but are well experienced. It's all good folks! We're riders like you!
Our new groomer arrived Monday, January 18, 2016!
The operator crew has gone through their training and are out working the trails.
Permits are now $260 as it is after Dec 1st
(Classic permits 1999 and older $140 in November, $170 after Dec 1st)
