Sashabaw Middle School PTA Mission Statement:

"The PTA at Sashabaw Middle School will strive to provide activities where students feel safe, have fun, learn to deal with issues facing pre-teens while making friendships and building team skills they will use throughout their school career and everyday lives."


****Important Schedule Pick-up Day Information***


Schedule Pick-up for Sashabaw Middle School will be on August 26th.  Student families are asked to arrive as divided by last name (see below).  If you are unable to make your designated time, please come when you are available during the day.

A- G                              8:00 am – 10:00 am

H- P                             10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Closed for Lunch         12:00 pm –  1:00 pm

Q- Z                               1:00 pm –  3:00 pm


Early next week, you will receive an e-blast with a link to access the Summer Packet which has all the Important Information and forms required to begin the academic year.


Please take a moment to check your current information on ParentVue (located on the CCS website) or click here… ParentVue log-in.  SMS uses ParentVue to contact parents/guardians in case of emergency.  You will not have the capability to update address changes; those must be updated at the Clarkston Schools Central Office.  ParentVue has information for every student that attends Clarkston Community Schools including grades, attendance, report cards, and more. Please contact the main office if you need assistance with ParentVue.

 

Other important information to know for Schedule Pick-Up Day:

  • 7th grade parents - Bring a copy of an up-to-date Immunization record for your student.

  • Yearbooks are available for purchase (order form will be in information packet)

  • Picture Day! – ALL students will be photographed, even if none are purchased

  • PTA Membership and Donation information

  • School Supplies – If you ordered, these will be available for pick up

  • 6th grade Camp information will be available

  • 6th grade Camp Candy for fundraising will be available for purchase

  • Physical Education T-shirts on sale for $6.00 (cash only)

  • Other Information :

    • School lunches and accounts, fall sports, transportation and bus assignment, locker assignment, and more!

We are excited to see all of you on August 26th and look forward to a fantastic year!


Note:  Those unable to attend may come the following week (8/31-9/3 from 8am-11am and 1pm- 3pm) with  

         picture make-up day planned for October 15th.  



Welcome and Welcome Back!

Back-to-school greetings from the SMS PTA! Now that the start of the school year is almost here, we want to remind you about the important PTA information regarding membership, volunteering and fundraising. There are several ways to stay engaged at SMS.  For more details, please see the links at the left side of this page.

  • Join the PTA. Membership is just $10 per person.
  • Volunteer for a PTA program or event. There are several events and activities which need parent involvement, from back-to-school parties to a sign-changer. Your time and talents are needed and appreciated. 
  • Contribute to our one-time donation drive. Our "buy nothing, sell nothing" donation drive makes up the majority of our annual budget. Based on our planned budget, we request a one-time donation of $38 per family. Your generous contribution will help the PTA provide: back-to-school and end-of-the-year parties for each grade level, PTA's signature Reflections art program, Wolf Day activities and assemblies, 7th Grade Career Day, mini-grants for creative teaching and learning ideas, camp scholarships and much more. We can't do it without you, though, so please return those donation envelopes! 
  • Check us out on Facebook!  Check out the latest news or ask a question.  The group is open to all SMS parents.

Membership, volunteer and donation forms can also be found using the links to the left.  Forms and donations can be returned to the front office or handed in on schedule pick up day.
