Dr. Soham Sarkar completed his  B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology(formerly WBUT), Kolkata, India in 2005 and  M.Tech in Radio Physics and Electronics from Calcutta University, Kolkata, India, in 2007. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in the year 2016 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Dr. Soham Sarkar is currently serving as an Associate  Professor and Head of the Department in Electronics and Communication Engineering of RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience in academia. His research interests include Evolutionary Algorithms, Soft Computing Techniques, Pattern Recognition, and Digital Image Processing.  Mr. Sarkar has published his works in the leading journals and conference proceedings like IEEE Transactions, Elsevier and, Springer. Dr. Sarkar has 850+ Google Scholar citations till date. He has been associated with the program committees and organizing committees of several renowned regular international conferences, including FUZZ-IEEE, SEMCCO, ICAPR, ICRCICN etc. He regularly reviewed several journals and conference proceedings, including IEEE, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, and Springer. He also co-edited 2 books with reputed publishers like Elsevier and  Wiley .
