About Me

I am a developmental neuroscientist, and earned my PhD in Systems and Integrative Neuroscience from Duke University in 2020. I am currently a postdoctoral scholar under the INSPIRE T32 program in the Stevens lab at the University of Iowa. Broadly, I'm interested in early-life experiences and their ability to increase or decrease risk of later neurodevelopmental disorders. The focus of my current work is the neuroimmune mechanisms of prenatal stress effects on neurodevelopment. Specifically, I am interested in the impact of IL-6 on neuronal proliferation and differentiation in the striatum, and sex as a biological variable (SABV).
