Short Films

In 2000 I co-wrote two short films with director, Liberty Lindley, as part of her diploma at the Northern Film School. 'Fish Supper' (produced by Craig Winchcombe and starring Lynda Bellingham) was selected for the 'Propeller' season. 'The Window Bed' (produced by Cherry Brewer and starring Ivor Roberts and John Abinari) was shot in black and white. It was shortlisted for the Sky Movies Max Award. Both films were screened at film festivals and on television in 2001 and 2002.

STILLS: FISH SUPPER

"As an author, when I write fiction I write alone - a project like this is great fun because the writer works as part of a team. It's inspiring."

STILLS: THE WINDOW BED
"Developing a story for the screen opens your eyes as a writer. You have to hone the story down in a way that you never do with a novel."
