Tanaku Salmon Recipe

Grilled Salmon with Onions

Serves 3-4


Ingredients:

2 T. butter

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 T. Worcestershire sauce

1 t. garlic salt

1 T. brown sugar

1/4 c. light soy sauce

1 T. lemon juice

Salmon


Take two large pieces of foil and fold three of the edges together to form a pouch to slide the salmon into.  Spray the inside of the foil pouch well with nonstick cooking spray.  


Thaw your salmon if it's frozen.


Melt butter in a skillet.  Add onions and cook until they become tender.


Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, brown sugar and light soy sauce.  Cook for a minute or two until the brown sugar has dissolved.  

Then add the lemon juice.  Remove from the heat.  


Place the salmon in the foil pouch and pour the onion sauce over the top.  Close the 4th edge of the foil and either bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes* or on the grill for about the same time.  


*Cooking time all depends on the size and thickness of your salmon.  Check it occasionally.  You want it to be light pink and flaky. 


Note: I placed the salmon in the pouch with the skin still on.  As you can see from the picture, I place it skin-side down.  When you are ready to serve it, the skin should fall/peel right off.  


I like to serve this salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli.  Enjoy!
