Signe White
Signe graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Human Biology and a BA in Anthropology. She then went on to earn her PhD in Population Biology, Ecology, and Evolution from Emory University, coadvised by Drs. Jaap de Roode and Levi Morran. Her dissertation focused on the evolution of infectious disease using an experimental host-pathogen system. In the Jackrel lab, Signe is investigating how the genetics of marine phytoplankton combined with their microbiota influences the ability of the algae to adapt to changing environmental conditions. In her free time, she enjoys taking her cat on walks, researching her genealogy, cross-stitching, kayaking, and cycling.
