Science Busking & Science Festivals

Science Busking is a great way to engage with visitors to science festivals. It involves getting visitors to do simple experiments as a way to explain scientific concepts. I have worked with the Oxfordshire Science Festival team to deliver training to grown-up buskers and also taught Year 6 Science Club pupils how to busk for their school science festival. Both groups had a great time and really enjoyed sharing their knowledge with visitors.

Science Festival market stalls also provide a great opportunity to engage with the public, but with a different range of activities compared with busking. Whether it's making Racket Rockets, using molecular gastronomy to make sweets or exploring forces, there's great science to be done.
