نظم مركز كيرلا الثقافي الهندي أمس الأول في مقره بمدينة زايد بأبوظبي فعالية تشكيلية اشترك فيها أربعة وعشرون فناناً وفنانة هندية من مجموعة تطلق على نفسها “جماعة الفن” وشاركتهم في الفعالية فنانة عربية واحدة، ترجموا خمسة وعشرين قصة قصيرة كتبتها قاصات مبدعات من الإمارات والخليج والوطن العربي إلى أعمال تشكيلية بالزيت على الورق، واستمرت عملية تنفيذ اللوحات ما يقرب من أربع ساعات متواصلة، تخيل كل تشكيلي اللوحة التي تمثل القصة التي قرأها، واطلع على مضمونها بعد أن ترجمها إلى لغة الملايالم المترجم الهندي سيد أبوبكر قدسي.  The first Malayalam translation of the novel was done by a well-known novelist Vilasini (M. K. Menon).The present one is better in many shades, capturing the magic spell of the original. (On 'Blind Owl')

. گفتني است، قدسي پيش از اين آثار فراواني از نويسندگان عرب زبان را به زبان مالايي برگردانده و اخيراًعلاقمند به ترجمه آثار نويسندگان ايراني شده است و تلاش دارد تا از ديگر نويسندگان ايراني نيز آثاري را ترجمه و به كشورهاي جنوب شرقي و هندوستان معرفي كند. رمان بوف كور همچنين مورد توجه و علاقه كوئيلو قرارگرفت و اين نويسنده نيز در تدارك ترجمه بوف كور به زبان پرتغالي است

Souva Shoun, a novel by the renowned Iranian writer, Simin Daneshvar, is being translated into Malayalam language and will soon be published in India.

'40 Arabi Penn Kadhakal' (40 Arab Women Stories') has been selected for the Bhasha Samanwaya wedi's prestigious 'Abhayadev Translation Award' for the year 2014. The Award will be presented on Friday 24th April 2014 by the famous Historian Dr.M.G.S.Narayanan at the premises of 'Alakapuri' in Calicut.

2 day national seminar organized by the Arabic Department of Government Arts & Science College in Meenchantha, Calicut on 24 & 25 November,2014. Talks on 'Exchange of literature among Keralites and Arabs.

The Kerala Sahithya Akademi (Kerala Academy of Letters) will be hosting a 3-day long International conference entitled ''Malayalam-Arabi Int'l Literary Fest'' during 8th, 9th & 10th of August 2014 at their headquarters located in Thrissur (Kerala State-India).
