Dr. Santan Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Silchar, Assam, India. He worked in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru as Dr. D.S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellow, and also as Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Automation, Biomechanics and Mechatronics, Lodz University of Technology Poland. Dr. Kumar earned his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. He has authored research publications in reputed International Journals, and has been recipient of academic awards and research fellowships. To name a few, he was awarded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Seal of Excellence by the European Commission, Institute of Physics Trusted Reviewer Status in recognition of an exceptionally high level of peer review competency, IMS Prize by the Indian Mathematical Society, Dr. D.S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship by the UGC, Research Associateship by the CSIR and International Travel Support (Young Scientist) by the SERB-DST. Dr. Kumar has served and is currently serving as reviewer to 30+ reputed International Journals of Springer, Elsevier, Sage, Wiley, IOP Publishing, Taylor & Francis, and American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a member of prestigious professional societies, namely, American Mathematical Society, Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, European Mechanics Society, International Association of Engineers, Indian Mathematical Society, Indian Science Congress Association, Institute of Smart Structures and Systems, Society of Applied Mathematics, and Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.
