Santa Cruz Passages

At the heart of the matter
Santa Cruz Passages is all about distilling and gleaning the most from life's moments when senses are heightened by out-of-the-ordinary events and occurrences. And..., for those times when senses are dulled;

In truth, as The Peaceful Warrior reminds us; 'there are no ordinary moments'. Yet there are times we have all known when what shows up on our stage appears as a conundrum. Did I ask for this?!

Passages recognizes that there are many rite-of-passage moments in a human life, which only lend themselves as such if we are tuned to the Gift of the Present to grow us into more of who we are.

If we are willing to PAUSE, to turn, to pay attention, even more particularly when the thing that is occurring feels not to our liking (whether in work, money, love, health), then we can find doorways (Gaelic: 'Duirwaigh'') where none existed before. In this way we walk ourselves into a bigger life than we ever could have conceived. This, this willingness to turn, pay attention, and act on the newly gleaned information.., this is the Beauty Way.

“Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate
And though I oft have passed them by
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.”

― J.R.R. Tolkien

"Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin,
Dance me though the panic till I'm gathered safely in,
Lift me like an olive branch, And be my homeward Dove,
Dance me to the end of Love
Dance me to the end of Love.." Leonard Cohen
