Announcing 7th AGORA Workshop

posted May 20, 2018, 7:19 PM by Ji-hoon Kim

Dear Colleagues,

We are happy to announce that the 7th Workshop of the AGORA Project will be held Aug. 10-11, 2018 at UC Santa Cruz.

This year’s AGORA Workshop will be Aug. 10-11 right after the Santa Cruz Galaxy Workshop Aug. 6-10.  On Friday 10, the Galaxy Workshop and the AGORA Workshop will hold joint sessions on high-resolution galaxy simulations.  On Saturday 11 (only till Sat, not Sun), we will have working sessions for Papers “CGM” and “Clumps, with a focused, much-smaller-than-usual group of people — those who actually have carried out the 1e12 runs for the two Papers.  We may also hold a brainstorming session on Collaboration-wide topics, and updates from other Paper Groups.

Please fill out the questionnaire by July 6 if you wish to attend the Workshop, in person or online.  Please do so even if you have already signed up for the annual Santa Cruz Galaxy Workshop , so we can have an accurate head count for planning.  If you’d like to participate online, please do fill out the form so we can send you a Hangout invite.  There will be a $50 registration fee to cover the meals and logistics on Saturday 11.
