Teaching is the highest form of understanding

Bertrand Russell (1872-1970) mentioned:

No man can be a good teacher unless he has feelings of warm affection toward his pupils and a genuine desire to impart to them what he himself believes to be of value.

His statement reveals the fundamental philosophy of teaching. I have two teaching goals: First, I plan to share my knowledge about economics and economterics with students so that they have better understandings towards how the real economy functions and why the financial and economics crisis happend. Second, I aim at helping students to reach to their full potentials and achieve self-realizations. For thinking creatively and critically, students have to realize their uniqueness and think on their feet. That is why I plan to balance between lecturing to students and ask them make discoveries.

Teaching is central to my past, present and future as a economist. Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) mentioned "Teaching is the highest form of understanding". I will always strive to the highest level of understanding and the warmest affection toward my future students.
