Dr. Sanoujam Dhiren Meetei earned his M.Sc. (Physics) and Ph.D. (Physics) from Manipur University, Canchipur, Manipur, India, in the years 2008 and 2014, respectively. A few days before being awarded the Ph.D., he was selected as a Guest Lecturer/Faculty member of the Department of Physics at Manipur University. He worked there for about nine months. He was then selected as a regular Assistant Professor of Physics at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, India, where he served from December 2014 to April 2018. He subsequently moved to Pettigrew College, Ukhrul, Manipur, India, where he worked as an Assistant Professor from April 2018 to June 2021. His services were then utilized at Imphal College, Imphal, from June 2021 until July 2023.

Currently, Dr. Sanoujam Dhiren Meetei serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at G.P. Women's College, Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal, Manipur, India.
