Chiaro di Luna (Moonlight) is a 1980 San Juan 7.7 sailboat. She is 26’ in length with a fixed keel and 4.5' draft. She is easily handled by one or two people and has a large cockpit for your friends. She sleeps four comfortably and has a small galley, insulated ice box, water tank, and port-a-potty.

Don't like the view? Let the dock lines go and anchor somewhere else. She's your cabin on the lake, without the mortgage payment!

San Juan 7.7’s are fast boats that can be raced or cruised with ease.  These are great family boats, fun to sail, and competitive around the buoys. They represent good value for the money and can easily be trailered.

We sailed "Luna" on Flathead Lake for 8 seasons before moving up to a larger boat last fall. She is surprisingly affordable to operate and maintain. We typically used less than 6 gallons of gas during the entire season!

Luna is the source of many good memories, fun days, and starry nights. Our girls grew up on this boat - starting at 9 days old. We hope she gives her next owner as much joy as she gave us over the past 8 years.

The previous owner sailed her for over 15 years in Arizona and the Puget Sound. He kept her in great shape and made many nice improvements. When we bought her, we knew she'd been loved. We've done the same.

All lines are led aft to the cabin top. The mainsheet and traveler are located in the cockpit within easy reach of the helm. She has tiller steering, with a beautiful custom wood tiller. The optional keel shoe was added in 2005, adding 130 lbs. of ballast and 6” of draft, which greatly improved stiffness and pointing ability in heavy air. She is equipped with 8 sails, including 2 spinnakers.
