Joy of meditation, gathas

Joy of meditation as nourishment

Gathas

  1. Breathing in, I know I’m breathing in.
  2. Breathing out, I know I’m breathing out.

(Identify the breath…breathing mind)

  1. Breathing in, my breath grows deep.
  2. Breathing out, my breath goes slowly.

(To see breathing in is growing deeper, and breathing out has slowed down)

  1. Breathing in, I feel calm.
  2. Breathing out, I feel ease.

(We can achieve deeper tranquility, great calm of body and mind)

  1. Smiling to my body, I breathe in.
  2. Releasing the tensions in my body, I breathe out.

(Send half smile, relaxing facial muscles, to the whole body, as if it were a fresh, cold stream of water)

  1. Dwelling in the present moment, I breathe in.
  2. Knowing is a wonderful moment, I breathe out.

In – Out

Deep – Slow

Calm – Ease

Smile – Release

Present moment – Wonderful Moment
