Busy November and December!

posted Oct 22, 2019, 2:46 PM by Sanford Art

The next two months will be busy for the Sanford Art Association. Beginning November 1, we will be hanging art at the New England Cancer Center in Kennebunk. That show will go to the end of the year. November 9 is the exhibit and sale at the Waterboro Grange hall in conjunction with it's holiday craft show. December 10, we hang at the Springvale Library. That exhibit will run to the end of the month, but there'll be a special event with pottery, cards, etc., in conjunction with the Springvale Library holiday tea on December 12. More information on all of these events to come soon!

Oh, and don't forget that some of our members will also be handing art for the Maine Women in the Arts show during Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport!

Set up for the Art in the Barn event is 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 9. There is no cost for SAA artists to display their works in the barn. Tables will be available for gift items. A 20% sales commission, however, will be deducted from all sales made in the barn exhibit. Ten percent will be contributed to the Taylor/Frey/Leavitt House Museum and ten percent will be collected for the Sanford Art Association. Trafton Center artists are welcomed to hang their art in the barn. Artists need not be present to tend sales of their artwork, however, volunteers will be appreciated. Since space is limited in the barn, tables for craft items for sale by Trafton Center artists, however, need to be reserved through the Taylor House Committee for $25.00 for outside space.

The necessary paperwork is posted on our website.

The exhibit runs from 10-4 on August 10.
