Pradip is a disciple of Pandit Kumar Bose and has a degree of “Sangeet Prabhakar” in Tabla.

Profession

Pradip has numerous recordings and albums to his credit. He is a regular tabla player in the Calcutta and Bombay film industry circuits. He is also a well-known radio and television artist.

Pradip has performed on the stage with famous singers like, Padmashree Manna Dey, Geetashree Sandhya Mukherjee, Heimanti Shukla, Pandit Ajay Chakroborty, Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota, Hariharan, Pankaj Udhas, Talat Aziz, Chandan Das and Roop Kumar Rathore.

Performances

Pradip has performed widely in India and abroad. In 1995, he toured the United States with Geetashree Sandhya Mukherjee as a part of the Banga Sanskrit Sammelan celebrations and performed in many cities like, New York, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles etc.

Pradip has also toured the U.S. in 1998 and 2008 with renowned music director Shri Prafulla Kar and his son, prodigal singer - Mahaprasad Kar. His extraordinary percussion skills enthralled audiences in numerous U.S cities and their concerts were widely acclaimed at every venue.
