2026 Schedule
The sport of scuba diving has come a very long way since its early "Aqua Lung" days. Millions of divers are now enjoying the incredible beauty of the vast underwater world every year.
Whether your interest is wrecks or reefs, caves, or other underwater features, it is important that you realize the need for proper training.
Mike Chenevert has certified more than a thousand students for scuba diving, and his instructional program is backed by 40+ years of teaching experience. Small, personalized classes are offered on weekends or weekdays. Private classes are also available. Classes are taught in Tucson and in Glendale, AZ.
Class cost is only $125, which includes all instruction, materials, and equipment. No purchases are required!
After completing the class, we head for beautiful San Carlos, Mexico, and the graduation dive trip. Students receive open-water certification from NAUI Worldwide, one of the oldest, most respected certifying organizations in the world. Mike has been diving in San Carlos for more than 40 years and knows the area and the travel requirements very well.

Dive trips to San Carlos are typically done monthly from June to October, except July. The cost is only $425 for divers, $250 for non-divers, and includes 2 days of boat diving, 2 nights accommodation, and free use of all equipment.
There is a safe and constantly maintained toll road all the way to San Carlos, about 328 miles, with several popular rest stops available along the way. The drive is typically about 6.5 hours each way from Tucson, plus border delays, rest stops, etc.
Accommodations are often large, comfortable rental homes like the one pictured here. This house is located on the local golf course. How about playing 9 holes on Sunday instead of a dive?
